Jordan Poole has not had the best time since getting traded to the Washington Wizards. People were expecting Poole to average over 25 points, as he was completely free with the Wizards. While he was playing for the Golden State Warriors, he was never the first option for the team, yet he was putting up great numbers. But through the first 15 games of the season, Poole has not looked very good. As Poole is not living up to expectations, NBA legends like Kevin Garnett have turned on Poole.

With times being tough for the 24-year-old NBA champion, his former teammate Andre Iguodala is now coming in clutch with some advice, as talks about him getting traded again have resurfaced.

Iguodala understands the struggles that Poole is currently facing. He knows there is a major drop-off between playing for the Warriors and playing for the Wizards. The mindset of a winning team and that of a team that has struggled to make the playoffs over the past couple of seasons are widely different.

Iguodala said, “So the thing with JP is, you just gotta keep working. The only way to get out of the position that he is in or they are in, you just gotta keep working. That’s all you can do.” Iguodala believes that as long as Poole keeps improving and gains confidence as a leader, everything else will fall into place.

Evan Turner also added that it is extremely tough to be the star player on a team. Because any time the team loses, all eyes are on you to look for answers. And when the supposed star player is not playing up to his potential, then they get all the blame. That is what is currently happening with Jordan Poole.

But not everyone feels the same way. Kevin Garnett recently gave his thoughts on Jordan Poole, and he was not kind at all.

Kevin Garnett did not hold back

Recently, Celtics legend Kevin Garnett gave his frank thoughts on Poole. Garnett saw Poole’s performance for the Wizards, and he was underwhelmed. He?went on a rant against Poole and said that some people are just not capable of leading a team or being a star in the league. KG realized Poole was currently playing like a role-player and was nowhere near the star that he was hyped up to be.

But Poole is currently playing by himself without a star player for the first time in the NBA. Until last year, he had Stephen Curry with him, but for now, he is still figuring out how to be the main man on a roster. Only time will tell how things will really turn out.
