Gabrielle Union joined a fellow NBA WAG, Nina Westbrook on her podcast, The Relationship Chronicles with Nina Westbrook recently to talk about everything from her career to her marriage. She dished that one of the things that makes her marriage with Dwyane Wade stronger is relying on therapy.

Therapy is also something her family, including her husband and older kids benefit from. However, she revealed, this wasn’t always the case.

Because while Union has sought professional help for a long time, her husband didn’t immediately get there. He supported her, as Union tells Westbrook, “Like Russell, D [Dwyane] was like ‘Oh, that’s great for you, I’m sure you need it, I’m sure that’s great for you.'”

Nina, who’s apparently had the same spiel from Russell Westbrook, added a sassy, “You needed it the most.”

Clearly, the two were in agreement about their spouses’ past neglect of their mental health. Union agreed with a strong, “Sir. Okay, one day… I’m gonna remind you about this conversation.”

Thankfully for Gab, her husband soon came around and it helped bring the couple closer.
