The NBA’s best shooter is getting older and it is a concern for the fans since they do not know how many seasons he still has in the league. However, Stephen Curry is not bothered by it. He enjoyed his 36th birthday with a lot of smiles, but most importantly, he ended it with a bang. The Golden State Warriors guard has often brought out his funny side through social media. Well, he did it once again, but this time, he hilariously dragged Shaquille O’Neal into his message. Looking back at the 4x champion’s infamous tenure with the Boston Celtics, Curry possibly teased his role for the upcoming seasons.
Shaq’s time with the Celtics is a template on the internet right now. It was his final year in the league, way past his prime. He played a minimal role for the Celtics, as he was almost 39 years old. Curry, who just turned 36, shared a picture of Shaq in the green uniform and added, “Year 36! Let’s get it. Appreciate all the love on Pi day 3:14.”
The 2000 MVP averaged just 9.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in the 37 games he played for the Celtics. Shaq’s time with the Celtics was the least efficient season of his career, but it was his final year. However, Twitter users have often used this as a template to mock many. Well, Curry decided to steal the spotlight similarly.

While that was a funny jab at Shaq, the 2x MVP added in the end, “Love ya,” to make sure there are no hard feelings. Anyhow, this is not the first time Curry has seemingly landed Shaq in trouble. There have been a few instances, but the notable one was when both of them landed in legal trouble for the collapse of FTX.
Shaquille O’Neal mocked Stephen Curry on live TV by thanking him
Shaq and Curry have been promoters of various brands. The two even endorsed the infamous cryptocurrency FTX. Anyhow, after it collapsed in 2022, it turned out to be a problem for both the NBA icons. Reports revealed that O’Neal promoted this brand only due to his close ties with Curry. Sadly, all the efforts went down the drain with the major collapse. Shaq was funny enough to remind Curry about this on live television.

The 2022 Finals MVP joined Inside the NBA for a call after he won the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Award last year. Shaq shared a few words with Curry: “Your father is a class act. Your mother is a class act…I speak highly of you. You’re my favorite player…I just want to say congratulations, my brother. And thanks for getting me in trouble. Don’t say nothing. Be quiet,” hinting at the FTX trouble. Curry couldn’t help but laugh about it, for leaving Shaq in a spot like that.
