In a recent podcast episode of “Point Forward”, four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala invites Chris Paul over to talk about everything basketball. In the episode, Andre Iguodala mentions, “When I watched ‘The Last Dance’…after watching it, I was able to see you in a different light. Because I worked with you in the Union so I knew that side and I’m like ‘this dude puts the same energy into everything else he does on the court’ and I was like ‘Wow that’s impressive.’” However, Andre Iguodala confesses to Chris Paul, “But when I watched the ‘Last Dance’, I think of guys that are competitive like that…and you came to mind.”
Andre Iguodala then talks about another instance when an assistant coach in the Warriors organization expressed his dislike for Chris Paul. The 4x NBA champion then says, “So, I get into an argument like ‘I don’t care what you say about that dude. He play for the Clippers so I don’t like him either but he’s one of the baddest point guards of all time.”
Andre Iguodala clearly has a lot of respect for the GSW point guard and the way he approaches the game of basketball. Despite never having won an NBA championship, Chris Paul has become a household name in the NBA community for his contribution to the sport.

After entering the NBA as the pick no.4 (Round 1) of the 2005 NBA draft, the 6-foot point guard started scoring big from his very first season. He has been very consistent since his rookie year as he has averaged double-digit points in every NBA season he has played! His best season (statistics-wise) was the 2008-2009 NBA season where he averaged 22.8 points, 11 assists, and 5.5 rebounds.
Despite never having won an NBA championship, Chris Paul has made quite a name for himself and earned the nicknames “CP3” and “the Point God”. The 38-year-old NBA superstar may be playing his last few seasons but he continues to make an impact on the court and help the GSW squad.
