Their own child came out as a trans woman in the recent past. Recently, Union was caught lauding a reproductive rights activist as she revealed her woman crush.

Foxx is fighting for the rights of every female on the American subcontinent.

She got her name etched in ‘Teen Vogue’ 21 under 21 and was awarded the ‘Planned Parenthood Catalyst for Change’ accolade for her work as an activist. She was even lauded for her achievements by Hollywood actor and producer Gabrielle Union. Union in the past mentioned the time she played a pivotal role in a project which sheds light on difficulties faced by queer folks.

Gabrielle Union reflects on her deep wound

Recently, Gabrielle Union played the role of a mother who kicks her son out of the house once she comes to know her son might be queer. Union said, “She was full of rage, and she couldn’t direct it at the institution because she had dug in, so she directed it at her child because she got sold a bill of goods. Oh, you found the wound. Welcome. And then it started to fester and grow like a f*****g cancer.” 

Union revealed that her homophobic character went through a transformational journey in the movie. It’s rather inspiring to witness Union taking part in movies which might have a positive impact on the society in general.
