The NBA and mainstream superstars are coming closer together. For select arenas, NBA games masquerade as special events for celebrity sightings as well. In particular, locations like New York and Los Angeles serve as the perfect backdrop for superstars. However, given the state of the two franchises for the last decade or so, not many go back with happy memories. Appearing on the Kelly Clarkson Show, Dwyane Wade was responsible for playing spoiler to his co-guest on a special day.

Callum Turner might don many hats. However, basketball aficionado isn’t one of them. A lifelong soccer fan, the superstar has been to just one NBA game in his lifetime. The New York Knicks versus the Miami Heat.

Earlier in the evening, as well, Wade would reveal his true feelings on the statue matter. And the exact peculiar reason why he isn’t fully comfortable with the idea yet.

Due to the ancient feeling that monuments and statues give him, at 42, Flash feels a little too young for such an honor.

While he’s incredibly proud and happy about the achievement, which Pat Riley unveiled to the entirety of HeatNation after getting Dwyane’s blessing, it may take some time before the awkwardness wears off. But, with a flourishing career on-screen, it might not be long before the 2006 Finals MVP is a household name.
