After the incredible success of Season 1, “Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty” is back for a second season. While the first season did attract some controversy for its factual inaccuracies and unfair depictions of real-life entities, the renewal was announced in April 2022. After all, the show racked up a positive review leading to its renewal only 5 episodes in. With a rotten tomato score of 84%, the series did quite well when considering the immense backlash it faced at the start.

Having ended season 1 with Magic Johnson (Quincy Isaiah) winning the title during his rookie year, season 2 will be more centered on the building of the Lakers dynasty. With particular focus on the inner workings of the ownership involved.
