Shaquille O’Neal uses unique marketing strategies to take his companies to the next level. He usually markets his products by casting himself in their advertisements. However, typically, these adverts are made after the launch of a product. Yet, foregoing tradition, O’Neal had already started the marketing for his fast food chain before its launch. Shaq put himself in a show named after the company and posted it online for people to watch. As he re-joins Reebok, Big Aristotle has got fans hoping that he can bring the shoe company similar success with his ingenuity.

During a recent interview with ES Fancast, Big Chicken’s CEO Josh Halpern joined in to talk about working with Shaq and his hopes for the future. During this, the Big Chicken’s marketing strategies were brought into question.

Josh Halpern was asked about the impact of having a Facebook live TV show called ‘Big Chicken Shaq‘ even before the first restaurant was opened. This led to Josh talking about the effects of having Shaquille O’Neal on your team. No matter how many problems he had, they were all solved because Shaq was the founder of the company.

The first prize the company won was ‘Best Fries at Sea‘. This was because Shaq was an endorser of Carnival Cruises, and this helped him serve his Big Chicken on cruises.

He explained the real importance of having the show ‘Big Chicken Shaq‘. Halpern said, ” It really showcased the fact that Shaquille is actively involved in this brand.

The show is still streamed at all his restaurants. This is because it shows Shaq making bonds with people. It also shows Shaq actually joining hands with different companies that are involved in the running of the business.

 

With Shaq taking on the role of president of basketball at Reebok, his connections and marketing skills are sure to benefit the company massively.

Shaq’s involvement with Reebok

Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson joined the Reebok management team as president and vice president of basketball.

25 years ago, O’Neal left Reebok in order to pursue a more affordable shoe line for his fans. However, in the decades since, Reebok has lost all footing in the basketball sphere. Thus, they are counting on Big Diesel and The Answer to turn things around.

The CEO of the company has said that President Shaq has been fully involved in the workings of the company. He is not there for name sake but will actually be an integral part of the company.

O’Neal’s major responsibilities include player recruitment, contract negotiations, and business development. With hopes of signing new players and expanding their reach into basketball, the company would be looking to make some aggressive moves.
