So it is no surprise Garnett was excited about the battle of undisputed champions. Ahead of the fight, KG took to social media to share his excitement with a video clip of the Charlo brothers. In the clip shared by Showtime Boxing on Instagram, Jermall Charlo was seen supporting his twin brother Jermell ahead of the big fight in Las Vegas. The brothers were seen embracing each other in the heartfelt clip.
KG shared the clip on his Instagram story with the caption, “Love seeing this. Shoutout to the Charlo Twin. Both of em, YESSS.”

However, the result would have been disappointing to Garnett.

On the other hand, Garnett’s former rival, Metta Sandiford-Artest AKA Metta World Peace, celebrated Canelo Alvarez’s win after the fight.
He shared a video clip of Canelo celebrating the win with the caption, “The Champ. Go @canelo. Good job @twincharlo and @derrickdjames1”.?Notably, the Los Angeles Lakers legend also appreciated Jermell’s display.

During a recent appearance on the?Full Send Podcast, Alvarez was asked about the possibility of fighting influencers like Jake Paul. He replied, ?When I am done with boxing, why not? Maybe.?
Alvarez further confirmed that he would not mind fighting influencers after his retirement from professional boxing. He also termed it as good possibly because of the large audience influencers bring to the fights. However, he is not contemplating retirement at the moment.

Notably, Canelo is mandated by the WBC to fight David Benavidez in the first half of 2024. But it still remains to be seen what the future holds for Alvarez.
