When he’s not busy being Shaquille O’Neal, the big man is crazing up the festival circuit as DJ Diesel. Ever since he added EDM in his entertainment catalogue, he’s been getting bigger and better. The NBA legend has been the main fixture of one of the most spectacular annual music events in the world for most of his music career. This year was no different. However, sometimes even the retired terrorizer of the hardwood court can get overwhelmed by fans.

The response to his latest performance was off the charts. Shaq, who feeds off his audience’s energy, had something to say about that.

For the fourth time, DJ Diesel is heating up the pinnacle of events for EDM titans. Shaquille O’Neal is the only NBA champion who gets to brag he performed at the mainstage of Lost Lands music festival. The prehistoric-themed extravaganza boasts bass icons like Illenium, Rezzz, and Svdden Death alongside the Los Angeles Lakers legend. DJ Diesel’s sets only get better with every performance.

Just when we thought nothing could top his 2022 mind-blowing headbanger, he steps up his 2023 appearance.

Lost Lands has also upped the game to match their headliner’s larger-than-life persona. With a capacity to host 80,000 melomaniacs, the Thornville, Ohio event is dubbed the biggest mosh pit in the world. The entire experience was not only unbelievable for fans, but for the big man too.

Left speechless, he took to the DJ Diesel page on X to first tweet, “Excuse me lost lands?!? What tf was that?!?!????” The excessive punctuation sums up his emotions. But he complemented it with another post, “Love y’all.”

Fans were reciprocating the love just as much. While some were mourning their FOMO syndrome, others were heaping the praises on the DJ for the amazing time they enjoyed.

Shaq’s fans want to see him in the mosh

When he’s not arguing with his co-hosts on NBA on TNT, Big Aristotle is behind the turntables at Lollapalooza, TIFF, Outside Lands, and more. Ever since his surprise appearance at Lost Lands in 2018, O’Neal kept his connection with a 2021 comeback.

This year, Lost Lands took place over the weekend of September 22 to 24. The EDM haven also had Ray Volpe in its lineup. Shaq caught up with his bestie and showed off the encounter on social media.

DJ Diesel is carving his niche within the genre. That showed at the mega-launch of his own music festival, Bass All-Stars in Texas this month. Several of his EDM friends shared the stage with him and he’s keen on expanding the festival too. All evidence points at Shaquille O’Neal remaining unstoppable.
