The official Instagram handle of KG Certified recently uploaded a post on social media. It features Kevin Garnett playing host to Adam Sandler. During the conversation, the main topic of interest diverted toward Philadelphia 76ers legend Julius Erving. Describing Erving as the ?smoothest of the smooth?, Sandler held himself in awe of the former player. If there was one thing that got him to fall in love with the 1983 NBA champion, it was his greeting style.

Kevin Garnett would then go on to ask his interviewee about his favorite moment featuring Dr. J. The Hollywood star mentioned that no moment came close to the ?Baseline Scoop? that Erving made during Game 4 of the 1980 NBA Finals. It featured the player going off against the Los Angeles Lakers, which was then dominated by the likes of Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. While the 76ers ended up losing the finals, Erving?s move became a sensation amongst NBA enthusiasts.

?That ?under the backboard? was probably one of the more remarkable moves,? said Garnett in response to Sandler highlighting the epic move. ?People don?t understand (that) he jumped outside the lane on the other end.?

In the concluding part of the discussion, Sandler described how he used to don an afro hairstyle during his high school days. Although Sandler felt it looked ?disgusting? to him, that high school kid still wanted to maintain the look to honor Dr J.
