Interestingly, former NBA guard Jay Williams is of the opinion that Harden should feel disrespected by the 76ers.

He believes that Harden will end up staying in Philly because of no suitors and he will have a lot to prove. “He got 35.6m dollars here to have a season to prove that he is worth that long-term contract,” added Jay Williams 

The 41-year-old, riled up, further argued that if Harden didn’t feel disrespected by the offer, it would raise questions about his passion and commitment to the game and not wanting to prove the league wrong. “He has to feel that way in order for a one-and-done, prove it year, to showcase that he is worth that deserving money.”
