The Chicago Bulls dynasty is the gift that keeps on giving. Even though their days of fame and grandeur are behind them, its superstars remain ever-popular. Further, with the introduction of?The Last Dance?documentary, fans got an unimaginable inside look into the dynasty’s lives. But, that sports documentary has also given rise to narratives worthy of their own soap opera. Between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, the controversies never stop escalating. Yet, some people, their old teammates included, still salvage hope for an eventual reunion.
But, if Stephen A. Smith has any say in the matter, those ideas are a fever dream. On his?podcast, Smith went into detail about how unlikely the entire scenario is. This comes shortly after the duo’s 5-championship-winning teammate predicted a reconciliation.

The usually abrasive Smith wasn’t shy in voicing his opinions on this subject matter either. After Dennis Rodman?gave hope to fans of the two icons about a potential beef-squashing, the ESPN commentator was ready to drown out the idea. In doing so, he would even call into question the legitimacy of Rodman’s opinions.
“But now, I’m wondering if you were ever Michael Jordan’s teammate…If you ever knew him. Because I can assure you, that relationship is dead.”?According to the ESPN host, MJ might give Scottie Pippen his flowers and remain respectful, “but…There ain’t no friendship there.”
Smith, who is a friend and confidant of Mike’s, claims to know the 6-time Champion. As a result, he could pinpoint the moment when the relationship was permanently over. It came as a direct result of Scottie’s book.
“It took him [Scottie] a while before he gave Michael Jordan his condolences after his father had passed away.”?At the time that the news first broke out, Stephen A. was personally in contact with Jordan who gave him the green light.
“Michael Jordan personally said to me and personally told me to go on television and say, ‘I didn’t know it was like that. I understand now how he really feels about me. I hope everything he’s saying about me was worth it.”?That, Smith feels, was the last straw for MJ and isn’t something he can come back from.
But, for fans of the duo, all hope isn’t lost yet. As Smith alluded to,?The Worm has made it perfectly clear that there is a possibility the reunite. But, what exactly did the Detroit Pistons legend say about the two?

Firstly, Dennis made clear that he had no issues with the documentary. “The fact that The Last Dance got Michael Jordan’s name…A lot of people got a little upset because they didn’t get the credit.” Then, he came to the topic of the NBA’s ultimate Batman & Robin.
“I never saw the beef…They were always hanging out together, playing golf together, training together. But it’s just a lot of things that’s happened over the last couple of years…But, I think they going to work it out.”?
Whether it be the issue revolving around the death of Michael’s father or Scottie blasting him as a ‘horrible teammate’, the two certainly have a lot of bridges to mend.
