Colored Nails, Versace and More Featured in Dwyane Wade’s 7889-Mile Trip

Dwyane Wade‘s love for travel and his reputation as a style icon converged at the same point. The ex-NBA star seems to have had a blast at his recent Hong Kong trip. Notably, the trip was in connection with the ‘Wealth for Good in Hong Kong Summit’ (WGHK). Wade shared highlight moments from the trip in a series of Instagram stories.

One of the IG stories included a photo featuring him and his business partner cum friend, alpine ski racer, Lindsey Vonn. “@lindseyvonn and I had a great panel conversation today at Blue Pool Capital!… That’s Business man and Woman to you,” read the caption to the story. Some other stories by the 3x NBA champion featured his visit to the Art Basel in Hong Kong. It is worth mentioning that Art Basel came back to Hong Kong in a full-fledged manner for the first time this Thursday since the COVID-19 pandemic.

As per the reports, the fair had 242 international galleries exhibiting this year. While the number was limited to 177 galleries last year, along with hybrid formats during Covid. Wade shared three IG stories featuring the artwork from the galleries. The Miami Heat icon also shared a highlight of him visiting a Versace store. He had a photoshoot with Versace sometime back and shared a series of photos from the shoot in an Instagram post.

Yet another IG story by Wade reflected his love for exploring places. The 42-year-old shared the city view of Hong Kong. Apart from this, he also had his nails colored and pedicures done, as evident from his series of stories. The Flash also hinted at the purpose of the Hong Kong trip.

The main purpose of Dwyane Wade’s Hong Kong trip

One of the Instagram stories shared by Wade revealed the main purpose behind his trip. The story featured an ID card with Wade’s name on it and a WGHK speaker written over it. So it is quite evident that the ex-NBA star was invited to the summit as a speaker.

As per a press release by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the summit aimed at underscoring Hong Kong’s status as a premier international hub for global family offices and asset owners. “Featured summit panel discussions included key themes of ‘Luxury and Legacy’, ‘Green Technology’, ‘Philanthropy and Wealth Legacy’, and a session on family office development titled ‘Dream to Dynasty: Wealth Creation for Generations,'” read the official statement.

And it seems that the conference was a great learning experience for Dwyane Wade. “There was so much knowledge dropped and family offices to be inspired by at this Wealth for Good in Hong Kong Conference!… Thanks for the invite and making sure I had a seat at all the tables,” read the caption to one of his IG stories.
