A few weeks ago, the 3x NBA champion was inducted into the honorable Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame alongside Pau Gasol and more. While Wade didn’t forget to express his love for Union in his Hall of Fame speech, recently the Hollywood actress penned down a special message for her husband.

Days after Wade’s official induction, he embarked on a journey with his wife and daughter to celebrate his achievement. The couple kept sharing tantalizing glimpses from their vacation on their social handles. As the two recently celebrated their 9th marriage anniversary, Union shared a clip of her story with a sweet message for the 41-year-old. 

Taking to her Instagram, she shared a reel and captioned it, “My forever MVP. The highest honor is having you by my side. Nine years down and eternity to go.”  They often share pictures of their vacations and casual outings on their social handles. Those moments have warmed the fans’ hearts as well. 

The Miami Heat icon commented on the post, “Talk that talk GUnion.” However, their relationship has also been through ups and downs.

After taking a break in 2013, the couple tied the knot in 2014. During their short break, the 2006 Finals MVP fathered a son with another woman. As the athlete chose to be public and transparent with his every action, he was still brutally criticized by the public.

Moreover, Wade’s previous marriage with Siohvaughn Funches didn’t end smoothly. During the time he was dating Union, he also had to go through a legal battle with his ex-wife. It was in the year 2011 when he got full custody of his children. Wade fought against his ex-wife in court again as he filed a petition to legally change daughter Zaya’s name and gender. Throughout this time, Gabrielle has continued to support her husband and stepdaughter.

Despite all the troubles, the couple has continued to grow stronger. Union’s message is evident in the love and the companionship they share. Navigating through heartbreak, reconciliation, and years of togetherness, the two have always supported each other in every sphere of their life.
