Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal continues to keep his passion for music going. Known by his stage persona as ‘DJ Diesel’, the former NBA star has been recently seen making waves around Europe and even igniting some dating rumors. Shaq, however, has not been alone in doing so. He has been accompanied by his 26-year-old stepson, who shares the 4x NBA champion’s affinity for music. With the young O’Neal set to make waves with his new song, he shared a heartwarming moment over it with his grandmother.
Myles O’Neal recently took to Instagram to share a post with his 296000 followers. In the video, he could be seen sitting alongside his grandmother, discussing his upcoming song ‘Naked’.

While Myles asked if he could talk about it first, his grandmother insisted that she first wanted to hear it. Despite the same, Myles went on to provide some details about the song. He emphasized that the song was sung and written by Stanaj, while Myles helped in the process. The senior O’Neal, however, did not take that excuse into consideration.
“I wanted to see what you have to say,” said Myles’ grandmother. “They better be clean.” While Myles defended his work by stating that “The Lord will approve of it”, his grandmother reverted sharply by stating that “this song don’t have nothing to do with the Lord”. The young O’Neal had to remind her that since everyone in this world is born nude, his ‘Naked’ song has a connection.

‘Naked’ is set to release on all music streaming platforms by the 15 of August. If Myles seemed hesitant about having his grandmother listen to the song, he has a good reason for feeling like that.

Barely three months ago, Myles took to Instagram to share a message with his followers. Talking about his then-latest song ‘Superficial’, the 26-year-old talked about how he got a call from his grandmother. While she liked the song and emphasized her proud feeling towards her grandson, the senior O’Neal wanted to raise a question about the lyrics used. Specifically, at the “you can stare at me and my girls” part.

“The part that I am having a little hiccup with is the ‘girls’ part. Is this song about ‘girls’ as in ‘ti**ies’, or ‘girls’ as in like ‘me and my homegirls’?” said Myles, recalling what his grandmother said to him.
Completely confused and taken aback at his grandmother’s thought process, Myles replied that he had never thought that far when making the lyrics. Stating that he should “think about” what it meant, she hung up the phone.

Myles was so confused, he had to get clarification from his fans on whether the lyrics are about ‘breasts’ or ‘friend groups’. Fast forward to today, it doesn’t seem like Granny O’Neal is still satisfied with Myles’ lyrics. What are your thoughts on the clip? Let us know in the comments.
