Despite his demise over three years ago, Kobe Bryant continues to be a major influence both on and off the court. News of his passing shattered the sports world. It must have been an unbearable hardship for Vanessa Bryant to lose not only her husband but her daughter Gianna, too. It was a huge challenge to be a source of strength for her remaining daughters. But Vanessa found the courage and fortitude to help her family and she was not alone. 7x NBA champion and former teammate of Bryant recently expressed his gratitude to the basketball world in a celebration of ‘Mamba Day’.
Since Kobe’s passing, the 41-year-old has demonstrated tremendous poise in establishing herself as a successful entrepreneur while carrying her husband’s legacy like a queen.

In honor of Gianna and Kobe, Vanessa renamed the ‘Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Foundation’ to the ‘Mamba and Mambacita Foundation’. This foundation works to provide opportunities for less privileged athletes all over the United States. On his podcast, ‘Big Shot Bob’, former Lakers star Robert Horry and his co-hosts took a moment to recognize Vanessa Bryant’s accomplishments and the Mamba Invitational League, which took place on August 24th.

The inaugural Mamba League Invitational on August 24 was a tremendous success, with two days of both men’s and women’s basketball. With Bryant having spent his entire 20-year career in LA, the franchise was honored to host this special occasion.
The event was an immense success as the co-host commented on the turnout of people showing their support for Vanessa in her time of need. Robert Horry expressed his gratitude to the NBA for their immense support for the family. “People have so much respect for them,”?he stated.
Kobe Bryant and Vanessa? A fairy tale love story.
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant’s relationship commenced shortly after they encountered each other in November 1999. After six months, they were engaged and eventually married in the spring of 2001. Despite the adversity they faced, they withstood the trials and tribulations of their relationship and remained together until the NBA superstar’s untimely death in January 2020.
The couple welcomed four daughters: Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri. Kobe believed that the highs and lows of life were essential in a marriage, believing if you worked hard enough, you could make it through anything.
