Everyone in the NBA knows about the controversy surrounding Ben Simmons’ 3-point shot. Ideally, an NBA player is expected to have sound fundamentals, which includes having a decent 3-point shooting percentage. However, from the beginning of his career, the NBA star has struggled to convert his 3-point shots.

In the 2021 tweet posted by “NBA Central“, Ben Simmons can be seen practicing his 3-point shot in a gym. The 2x NBA champion Rajon Rondo can be seen helping his then Philadelphia 76ers teammate star work on his 3-point shot. As the duo hit back-to-back three respectively, NBA fans couldn’t help but notice his smooth jumper.

However, Ben Simmons went on to have an average season and had a negligible 3-point conversion percentage. The Boston Celtics legend, Rajon Rondo, went onto play for the Los Angeles Lakers the following year, where he won his second NBA championship.

The Philadelphia 76ers traded Ben Simmons to Brooklyn Nets for James Harden in the following NBA season. But what happened to Ben Simmons in Brooklyn Nets?

Ben Simmons’ “Catastrophic” Season for the Brooklyn Nets

After Ben Simmons got traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2021, he did not play in the 2021-2022 NBA season due to injury. As he made his long-awaited comeback in the 2022-2023 NBA season, he averaged only 6.9 points, 6.1 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game. This was his worst-ever performance in his 5-year NBA career.
