This motivation from the Big Ticket is indeed surprising. However, Rodgers was the one to instigate it. In an interview with Pat McAfee, Rodgers was questioned, “You trying to say you’re coming back this season?”, as another anchor added,?“What’s happening, man? Are you coming back for the playoffs this year?”

The 2011 Super Bowl champion replied, “I’m not going to make any of those statements. I don’t feel like that’s fair to myself… I think, as Kevin Garnett said, ‘Anything is possible.'”

Rodgers kept the hope alive but coming back from an Achilles injury, that too at this age, can be extremely tough. As we’ve seen with most athletes who suffer this injury, they aren’t the same players after their returns. However, Kevin Durant proved to be an anomaly.

Can Aaron Rodgers return earlier? A comparison with Kevin Durant’s injury?

In Rodger’s case, reports have revealed he has completely torn his Achilles, which doesn’t sound promising. The 39-year-old is already done with surgery. However, a comeback by February is a big question. Only time shall answer!
