Ever since his retirement in 2019, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade has made great contributions to society. In this latest episode, the future Hall of Famer was joined by a legendary player from his alma mater for yet another noble cause. Now, fresh off the heels of that, D-Wade and his former teammate are taking on a new goal.? Off late, Wade has shown interest and a desire to develop sports for women and young girls.

The 41-year-old made sure he did not just desire but also took big steps toward it. It’s not his only step, of course. We can’t forget his recent $85 million purchase to support women’s basketball.?

Dwyane Wade joins his ‘Final Four teammates’ for a noble cause

Dwyane Wade had a reunion with his NCAA teammates. Unsurprisingly, Marquette legend Travis Diener, who once helped Marquette to reach the 91-win mark, pulled up as well. Last week, the two former Marquette players were competing against each other in a game of golf. But of course, the 18-hole golf outing was also a means to raise money for youth literacy programs. Now, the 41-year-old former NBA player was roped in by Wade to cultivate talent in young girls.?

Sharing pictures from his camp, the 3-time champion revealed the experience. “To help these young ladies develop their basketball skills was an amazing feeling!”?

He continued with a hard-hitting message, “There was truly a lot of great talent displayed in the gym. To every young athlete remember to dream big, play with passion, and embrace teamwork.”

It has not been more than a week since Wade hit the news for a creative education program he set up. Joining hands with his sister Tragil Wade, who is an author, the duo went on to continue the ‘Live to Dream’?education program which kicked off last year.

Alongside all of these events and his own Hall of Fame coronation, Wade must possess incredible time-management skills. But certainly, the young Marquette women will greatly benefit from the mentorship and guidance provided by the 2006 NBA Finals MVP.

In the meantime, let us not forget Wade’s ownership move to develop women’s basketball!

After doing wonders for the Utah Jazz with his ownership skills, Wade decided to enter the WNBA. The NCAA stars from the women’s tournament are proof of why the WNBA will keep rising in popularity. And of course, Dwyane Wade agrees!

Two weeks back, Wade announced his contribution to join the ownership group led by Cubs owner Laura Ricketts. The investors purchased a 10% stake at a valuation of $85 million. Unfortunately, Dwyane’s exact stake is yet to be disclosed.

In 2021, the Sky won their first-ever championship. Now with Wade added to the team, the expectations will definitely rise!
