Avid NBA fan and French Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly is having an exceptional year. Just eight months ago, he was seen enthusiastically trying his hands at basketball alongside the Hall of Famer Tony Parker. In a recent reunion, the two came together to watch a preseason game featuring their fellow countryman.
The Hall of Famer happily posted photos and highlights from the game on his social media, celebrating his former team’s triumph over the Houston Rockets.

Previously, the pair were spotted together at the NBA Paris game in January. Pierre Gasly, along with fellow F1 luminaries and notable celebrities, relished the game. The GP3 series champion, Charles Leclerc, and Formula 1 driver Esteban Ocon graced the event with their presence too. Gasly, is also actively competing in Formula 1 for the Alpine team.
Fans were thrilled to watch their collective participation in the event. Parker and Pierre were previously seen testing their basketball skills. Leclerc and Gasly engaged in a casual game of pick-up basketball alongside NBA legends Tony Parker and Joakim Noah.
As such, it’s hardly surprising that the two Frenchmen reunited 8 months later. This time it was at the San Antonio Spurs‘ game, to witness the impressive skills of Victor Wembanyama. It’s safe to say that the 19-year-old didn’t disappoint.
Parker shared a video on his Instagram account, showcasing himself seated beside the 27-year-old Formula 1 driver. Later, he uploaded another snap featuring Gasly being presented with a jersey.
Gasly has previously attended numerous NBA games. However, his latest experience might have been particularly remarkable for him, given the opportunity to witness such an exceptional player in action.

Victor Wembanyama was the star of the show
The towering 7 ft 4 formidable athlete delivered an outstanding performance, notching up 15 points within just 21 minutes of gameplay.
His impressive accuracy at the free-throw line, with a 7-of-8 record, significantly contributed to the San Antonio Spurs’ halftime lead of 60-44. In the second half, he continued to shine, making 3 of 5 shots, including two successful 3-pointers and rounded off his performance with six rebounds and two blocks.
