Rachel Nichols and DeMarcus Cousins seem to have an exemplary time when they are both off their primary jobs. It seems that even during serious discussions like the increasing stakes of the NBA playoffs, they find ways to lighten up the mood both for themselves and the viewers. In fact, in the latest podcast run of ‘Bully Ball’, Nichols pointed out a sad fact about Cousins. Stressed? Don’t worry, it’s nothing major.

During the show, the ex-ESPN reporter brought our attention to a missing key aspect from Cousins’ shot. She mentioned, “We have to talk about a loss we’ve had Boogie a death in the family. Sorry to bring up something so serious.” Once done with her opening line, Rachel Nichols finally revealed what she was actually talking about.

She continued, “Your plant behind you is gone and I’m feeling very very alone right now. I don’t know what to say, it’s been a mainstay of my Mondays for quite some time now and now you got some artwork behind you? I don’t need culture; I need the plant!”

Once he stopped laughing at the not-so-important issue of the day, Boogie replied, “The plant needed a day off. It’s still in the rotation.” Nichols cross-questioned, “So the plant is load managing now?” And all Cousins could say was, “Absolutely. It’s on a vacation.”

After his last stint in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets, DeMarcus Cousins left for the BSN. The decision was well-educated since he had been in several controversies and injuries. He played with the Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico in April 2023 averaging 20.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

Later, he made the headlines in December 2023 for joining the Taiwanese T1 league with the Taiwan Beer Leopards. On 23 February 2024, he clearly said that he would not be making a comeback in the NBA. Mentioning the decision, he also said, “Honestly, no. I know I’ve had my time there. You know, there was a point where I was trying to make that happen. But the place I’m in my life now, just with everything I’ve got going on, just outside of basketball, like I’m in a good place.”
