English Hockey team reaches Euro finals after shootout

The English hockey team will face off against Team Netherlands in the finals of Euro Hockey tonight. A recent Telegraph article highlighted England?s victory against Germany in the highly anticipated semi-finals of the 2023 Euro Hockey League. The article started off by highlighting how English goalkeeper James Mazzarelo threw away his gloves and stick to join his teammates in celebration. Of course, the 5’4 shootout had everyone, including the team, on the edge of their seats.
The article then proceeded to highlight a quote by England?s attacking midfielder Zach Wallace. Emphasizing the need to excel in the upcoming finals, Wallace stated that he and the rest of his teammates are ready to face the final stage of the tournament head on.
?In previous knock out games, we may have crumbled under the pressure, but not these boys, we are out shoulder to shoulder,? said Zach Wallace.
Zach Wallace began his professional hockey career back in 2015 by joining the Surbiton Hockey Club. Six years later, he would join the reportedly high acclaimed HGC Club. Making his debut for the England National Hockey Team back in 2018, the 23 year old has established himself as a prominent force on the field.

The author recalled how back at the start of the year, England captain David Ames referred to Wallace as ?our own Michael Jordan.?
The honor was given to him due to the player?s ?mentality and willingness to win and do everything? When asked about the nickname, Wallace expressed his opinion on being compared to the basketball legend.
?It?s not a bad nickname but it wasn?t said by me,? Wallace was heard saying with a smile on his face. Describing His Airness as an ?incredible athlete,? the hockey player feels that it is too soon for him to be associated with the Chicago Bulls star.
