The city of Los Angeles belongs to Kobe Bryant. The ‘Mamba’ is forever etched in the memory of the Hollywood native. He brought a total of five NBA Championship titles to Los Angeles and gave them a lifetime of memories before tragically passing away in 2020.

The baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, paid a special tribute to the NBA Hall of Famer as they announced special merchandise just for the NBA legend.

Kobe Bryant paid tribute by the LA Dodgers

Kobe Bryant is considered one of the greatest NBA players of all time. Many in the Hollywood city believed that he was way ahead of his peers. He instilled a never to die attitude famously known as the ‘Mamba Mentality’ in the minds of many athletes and people around the world.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won a total of seven MLB Championship titles in their history. Dodgers alongside the Lakers are two of the most storied LA sporting franchises in the state of California. LA Dodgers on many occasions have paid tribute to former NBA MVP Kobe Bryant. They once again lauded Bryant’s contributions throughout the course of his career as they released special merchandise for the legend.

The Dodgers are giving a special black and yellow Dodger’s jersey with Bryant imprinted on the back with number 24 and number 8 imprinted on the front. This was a rather heartwarming gesture on Dodger’s part. Kobe fans would love to get their hands on the chic jersey. Kobe Bryant has always been a clutch performer as he’s won the Lakers the game in the final minute multiple times.

Kobe connection in the Dodgers game

In the year 2020, the same year that the Laker legend met with the tragic accident, the Los Angeles- Tampa World Series battle took place in the MLB. That night, two of the Dodgers’ star players’ home runs came on the 8th pitch of their at-bats, seemingly emulating Bryant’s clutch performances.

Kobe Bryant will forever be remembered until the game of basketball survives. It’ll be interesting to see if a young NBA star can emulate Mamba’s greatness and win an equal amount of accolades in the league.
