There are some professional athletes that transcend their sport and become global icons, and Allen Iverson falls into that category. Iverson possessed a unique swagger that was unmatched by most players before or after him. His influence and impact on the NBA is still quite evident today, as he pioneered numerous moves both on and off the court.

Naturally, Iverson is entitled to feel that he would significantly improve his scoring if he played in the modern NBA. During an interview, Iverson said, “If I were to play in this era, where it’s wide open. If I could average 33 in a season [back then], I’m just going to take it up to 43. I know 10 points more.” However, ESPN analyst Brian Windhorst took exception to AI’s claims.
