Being a son of a famous athlete comes with its own challenges. The pressure mounted by the society and the weight of a legacy can seriously weigh one down. This is especially true when one’s father is NBA icon Michael Jordan. Never reaching the heights of their father, both of Jordan’s sons have failed to make it big in basketball. However, 32-year-old Marcus Jordan has managed to step out of the shadow of his legendary father and recently opened up about his venture.

During a recent episode of ‘Separation Anxiety’, a podcast featuring Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan, the two go on to speak about the reasons behind their happiness with the 32-year-old Marcus revealing his ‘Baby’.

During the second episode titled ‘In the name of love and babies on the brain’, the couple speaks about their love for each other and their ‘babies’. Larsa revealed that her source of happiness was her kids and questioned Marcus about his since he didn’t have a child. Larsa stated that her four kids fulfilled her as a person and questioned Marcus about what fulfilled him, stating, “It basically feels like a question for you.”

Quite the condescending thing to say, Marcus rebuffed Larsa’s statement, believing that it was a consequence that was brought due to their age gap. Commenting on it he said, “Well, I think that is something that goes unsaid with dating and having an age gap.

Revealing that the ‘Trophy Room’ was his reason for the fulfillment, Marcus stated that he always considered it his “baby“. He further stated that he always wanted to earn his own name rather than be recognized because of his dad. Putting this into words, he said, “I want my own name outside of being Michael Jordan’s son. And so, for me Trophy Room gave me that opportunity.”
