Shaquille O’Neal a.k.a. DJ Diesel has close ties with several stars from the music industry. It’s not surprising considering the 7’1 giant released four studio albums back in the 90s. During his time in Japan touring with the famous band ‘Fu-Schnickens’, the 4-time NBA champion found some time to play basketball with a few music stars. A 54-year-old American rapper put on a show alongside Shaq on the day. Thirty years later, O’Neal shared an unearthed picture of himself along with the iconic rapper!

The 54-year-old rapper turned into Magic Johnson in Japan

During his tour with the ‘Fu-Schnickens’, Big Diesel decided to show off his world-famous skills to his fellow rap friends. However, it looks like someone else had the same motive. Multi-talented Ice Cube decided to steal the show although Shaq was in his own team!

Being a Los Angeles Lakers fan, Ice Cube had a lot of love for Shaq and Magic Johnson especially. In Japan, Ice Cube decided to play like 5-time champion Magic as he dished some assists to the former Laker center. 

The rapper revealed the experience of playing alongside one of the best centers of the league and how he managed to steal the show playing as a point guard. Ice Cube also added he threw some alley-oops to the Lakers legend and he was on cloud nine when Shaq dunked it.

Thirty years later now, Shaquille O’Neal decided to share an old picture of him and Ice Cube. Another famous rap sensation, B-Real, can also be seen in the picture. The 2000 MVP stood behind the two rappers, with a dashing silver chain.

How did 54-year-old Ice Cube shock Shaquille O’Neal and the rap fans? 

The 54-year-old rapper and actor decided to bring back his rap skill on the stage last year. Ice Cube sang the famous ‘Natural Born Killaz‘ at a concert in 2022 in which he collaborated with music legend Dr. Dre. Fans of the duo weren’t the only ones who went berserk after witnessing the memorable performance.
