Ever since the tragic passing of NBA icon Kobe Bryant, his wife Vanessa has been forced into some unnecessary legal battles. 6 months after winning the lawsuit and agreeing on a huge settlement from LA County, Vanessa was in court once again, picking up where her husband had left off. And after fighting with all she had, the wife of the late Los Angeles Lakers legend won another $1.5 million lawsuit.
Kobe Bryant was sued by the president of his company, Kobe Inc. back in 2019. After Kobe’s death, Vanessa took it upon herself to prove the claims wrong, leading to another win just months after her massive $28.85 million settlement.

Now, months after that whole ordeal, Vanessa fought another battle for her husband. The president of his company, Kobe Inc., Molly Carter, filed a lawsuit against Bryant claiming that the late NBA legend had promised her a two percent cut from his profit after the sale of BodyArmor.
Back in 2013, Kobe chose to invest $6 million in the Sports drink, BodyArmor. The company was later taken over by Coca-Cola for a huge $5.6 billion amount, making Kobe’s share up to $400 million. And Carter went on to claim that Bryant had offered her a two percent share of the whole amount he got back.

Kobe Bryant made no such claim to Molly Carter
Molly Carter made the first move by filing a lawsuit against The Black Mamba in the hopes of a payday. Her claim that Kobe had promised her two percent was denied by Bryant, according to TMZ.
So, after she filed a lawsuit, Vanessa followed with a countersuit against Carter. The countersuit claimed that Carter had made several violations, including loyalty and a non-disparagement clause, which was a part of her contract by talking trash about the five-time NBA champion and his family.
