The NBA’s beloved basket breaker has led a single life for some time now. Shaquille O’Neal got married to Shaunie Henderson in 2002 and they looked like a solid couple. However, things didn’t work out for them over the years and they got divorced in 2011. Since then, Shaunie has remarried and Shaq has remained alone. Although the Big Man dated a few people after the marriage, he has never taken it as far as putting a ring on it. The 4x NBA champion has said in the past that he blames himself for the failed married.

Even after the ex-couple parted ways, they have remained on good terms for the sake of their kids. Recently Shaq poured his heart out over Shaunie’s second marriage and detailed his true feelings for his ex-wife.

Now a media pundit, The Big Aristotle is respected for his wisdom and sharp mind. However, when he was younger, things were different. Shaq has acknowledged getting rowdy off the court on multiple occasions, particularly before his children were born. Now, the mother of Shaq’s kids is in a happy place with a new husband. Her marriage to Pastor Henderson is one she has gushed over a lot of times, only ever having good things to say about her new man.

Although Shaq has taken responsibility for his failed marriage, Big Diesel didn’t hesitate in showing the utmost respect to Shaunie. In a recent interview with Monica, the Los Angeles Lakers legend poured his heart out while talking about his ex-wife.

Shaq said that “protecting, providing, and loving” are the three most important duties a man has towards his woman. Even though they have fallen off, Shaq is adamant about following the said rule. He said, “She’s getting married to another man, I’m not gonna be uh oh. Nope.” Shaq also said that they have five children together, which is why Shaunie’s happiness will remain one of his priorities.

The Big Man said that this is just how he was raised and therefore will continue to uphold his values regardless of who his mother’s children is with.

Ex-wife Shaunie has remarried with the man of her dreams

Shaunie and her Pastor husband are often seen together on social media, having fun in each other’s company. In fact, Shaunie has admitted that her new husband is a partner that she dreamed of as a kid. She explained, “It feels so good to have the partner that you, and that we all dreamed of right as the little girl.” 

It seems like Shaunie has found love again. One wonders what the world has in store next for Shaquille O’Neal.
