Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson faced Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in Capital One?s The Match a while ago. The two NBA and NFL stars locked horns on the golf course along with Golden State Warriors defensive leader Draymond Green there to back them up.

As Mahomes tried to get under Thompson?s skin, Green decided to snap back with a salty comment of his own.

Having his teammates’ backs on and also off the court, four-time NBA champion Draymond Green decided to open up some old wounds of Patrick Mahomes in order to talk trash on behalf of Klay Thompson.

While Thompson was on the course, concentrating to putt the ball into the hole, Mahomes may have said something to him.

Green asked Mahomes, ?Ay Pat, what’d you just say?” The Chiefs star stated, ?I told Klay to watch out for that hole.?

Green took that as an insult as he said, ?Wow, 3-1 jokes. That is a cheap shot. Wow.?

Green also went on to add, ?Pat over here talking about 3-1, like Joey Burrow ain’t send his a** home a year ago.??

Green certainly did his homework while digging up trash on Mahomes.

Draymond Green was the Splash Brothers’ deterrent

During the interview on Through The Wire, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were asked about their plans to deal with trash-talking at the hands of the NFL stars. And both of them said that they relied on Draymond Green?s trash-talking skills.

And it seems like The Splash Brothers certainly weren?t wrong as Green hit Patrick Mahomes with something strong.
