When asked if Jokic wanted to go home after winning the title, he replied, “Yes. He said in his speech, he really thought ‘I’m going home dawg. I’m out’.”

Bryant revealed that prior to the parade the only thing Jokic cared about was going back to his home in Serbia. Jokic has previously expressed his love for horse racing and spending time in his hometown in the countryside of the Serbian subcontinent.

After beating the Miami Heat in five games one might expect that Jokic might be in a mood to celebrate his massive accomplishment. After all, securing your team’s first-ever NBA Championship would be a worthy cause.

But that was not the case for the Joker. Immediately after the match, Jokic sat down for an interview and said he wanted to go back to Serbia and take part in horse racing. He showed little interest in the title parade also, showing himself to be a simpler man.

Jokic said, “On Sundays, I have my horse racing. I don?t know how we?ll arrive. Thursday, parade. Friday, maybe.”
