The new contracts and deals in the free agency continue to be an absolute stunner! Many NBA stars have signed massive contracts over the past 24 hours. While this continues to shock many on one side, fans believe a few All-Stars, MVPs and even NBA champions are getting underpaid on the other. One contract extension that has surprised the NBA world is of a Los Angeles Clippers guard. Just two years ago, the former MVP earned three million more than the 4-time champion LeBron James.
Though it has been just 6 years since his MVP award, the 34-year-old has agreed to a drastically minimal amount, which is now eleven times lesser than what he earned two years back. The free agency has been nothing but highly volatile!

The Los Angeles Clippers are a team to look out for in this offseason. Paul George was recently linked to a few teams and there is a possibility that Leonard will get a new teammate. The Clippers are set to pay a massive $90 million for the above duo alone. However, there is another superstar the team had to take care of!
2017 MVP Russell Westbrook showed his worth with the Clippers in the first round of the playoffs last season. After Leonard and George were sidelined due to injuries, the triple-double master brought out the OKC vibes to battle solo against the Phoenix Suns. Though he couldn’t get it done, Westbrook revived his name a few months back.
However, his time with the Lakers was not special. Rather terrible. Though Westbrook was not efficient with this LA unit, he did not fail to receive a hefty bag. In 2022 during his time with the Lakers, Westbrook earned a huge lump sum of $44.2 million, three million more than the 4-time MVP James who settled for $41.1 million.?
However, now Westbrook has signed a 2-year $8 million deal, which will give him $4 million for the upcoming season.

Let’s not forget the fact that the 2017 MVP averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists just two seasons back!

While Westbrook settled for the above-mentioned contract, a few young stars and undrafted players continue to sign huge amounts. Dillon Brooks, who was with the Memphis Grizzlies before, has signed a 4 year, $80 million deal with the Houston Rockets. The same team also acquired Fred VanVleet on a 3-year, $130 million deal.?
Bruce Brown, who recently helped the Nuggets win their first-ever championship, has inked a 2 year, $45 million deal with the Indiana Pacers. Another one that broke the internet was Jerami Grant’s 5 year, $160 million extension.?
