LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neil are NBA legends. But they are also parents to children that are hoping to compete for a spot on an NBA roster. With the offseason in full swing, the King hit up an elite Fashion event in Paris with his wife, Savannah while his sons prepared for the upcoming season of basketball. Though the expectation of carrying on a historic basketball legacy is heavy on the young athletes, there are clear signs that the star kids can make it to the big leagues.

After a highlight from LeBron’s youngest son’s high school debut went viral, some commenters were taking shots at the 16-year-old’s game. Fortunately, he found support from another young athlete with a big name on his back.

Bryce James, youngest son of LeBron James, faces negativity online

Last year, LeBron’s sons Bronny and Bryce were both playing for Sierra Canyon with Dwyane Wade‘s son, Zaire. This year, both of the King’s sons are headed for new pastures. Bryce James recently arrived at Campbell Hall as a 16-year-old basketball phenom.  The teenager possesses explosive scoring talent, athleticism, and a ridiculous frame after his growth surge. But some fans have it out for the 6’6” athlete.

This was evident in a recent video where the teenager drove to the hoop and scored through contact, celebrating an “And-One” call with a flex. But some fans saw it differently. Online, people were lashing out at Bryce. One user said, “No one touched him,” claiming that the referee erroneously gave the call in Bryce’s favor. Another fan simply asked, “where the foul…”

Shaquille O’Neal‘s 20-year-old son, Shaqir O’Neal, shared the video on his story, as a show of support for the young man. After all, very few players understand the pressure of not just fighting for an NBA spot, but also fighting for your father’s historic basketball legacy. Finally, though, it was the turn of the King, who stepped in to support his youngest son.

LeBron James has always shown unconditional support for his children. After Bryce’s debut with Campbell Hall, LeBron shared a highlight tape of his son’s best plays. He wrote, “His turn NOW!! Let’s go Maximus 🤴🏾

While he was hyping his son up, some fans shot back at the James family on Twitter. Here are a few reactions:

This one could have been purely for comedic effect, seeing as how nobody would call the King a ‘bust’.

Here, fans become more vicious as they project their issues with LeBron’s game toward his children.

Fortunately, some fans were remaining positive and looked to inspire Bryce and Bronny by praising the legacy of LeBron.
