While Flau’jae Johnson was still on cloud nine after the NCAA win, numerous sensational rappers reached out to her and adulated her for both the win and her songs. Among those rappers was none other than the legendary Lil Wayne.
One of Johnson’s songs piqued Wayne’s interest, and he told Johnson they both could collaborate for a song. Months later, on Sunday, Johnson met with Lil Wayne for the first time.
Lil Wayne had surprised the attendees of the ESSENCE festival at New Orleans with his performance. Flau’jae Johnson was at the festival, and she finally got to see the five-time Grammy winner. Furthermore, the two shared a hug at the backstage and clicked some pictures.

In light of the recent meeting between Wayne and Johnson, TMZ reports that Lil Wayne is set to work on a new song and plans to collaborate with Flau’jae Johnson for the same.
Lil Wayne has been trying to do a collab with Flau’jae Johnson since April. Just like Wayne and Johnson, The LSU Lady Tigers’ head coach too had badly wanted the collaboration to happen soon.

A Louisiana native himself, Lil Wayne has been cheering on the LSU Tigers throughout their NCAA campaign. During his appearance on ESPN’s The Bird And Taurasi Show, Wayne told the hosts that he plans to collaborate with LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson.
He added that the two have spoken about the same thing earlier over the phone. Furthermore, Wayne revealed, Johnson’s coach Kim Mulkey had also asked him to drop a banger with her student Johnson. “Miss Kim told me, ‘You must do something with my girl Flau’jae.’ I was like, ‘Say less,’” said Wayne, according to Uproxx.

No date is out as to when Lil Wayne will drop the track with Johnson. Moreover, we don’t know what the track’s name is. Anyhow, it will indeed be something to look forward to.
