Arriving in America on Monday JJ Reddick invited the big man to his podcast, indulging the Frenchman with conversation. During the exchange the former NBA star had various questions, including one about Wemby’s ‘one legged 3-point shot’.

Questioning the 2023 LNB MVP he stated, “There are a couple of things that have happened on the court over the last year that I want to specifically ask you about, one of which is the one legged three. Why? Is it necessary?”

Victor replied to this by explaining to JJ that it was easier to shoot three’s that way. Believing that it helped him focus on the target, Wemby said, “You use your momentum, so you don’t get to put any force. You can like, refocus on your target.” He went to add on that he was practicing the move and it felt natural to him.

To this, JJ summed it up by saying, “So basically the genesis of that is you were f*****g around one day and realized, oh! it feels natural!” The top prospect just nodded and replied, “Yeah.”
