In his book, Paul shares his personal experiences and the lessons he learned from his grandfather. These lessons helped him become a better person and a better parent. Paul lost his grandfather at a very young age. A day after he passed, Paul dedicated his game to his grandfather.

He scored 61 points that day in High School, each point for 61 years his grandfather lived.
In the book, he also credits his hometown, Winston-Salem. The town, along with its supportive community, has helped shape his career into the successful NBA player he is today.
