5 Years After Losing LeBron James, Cavaliers Eyeing NBA Championship by Wagering Former All-Star for 33YO Paul George

NBA free agency is right around the corner and trade rumors are flooding the internet. One of the dark horses of the past few trade seasons has been the Cleveland Cavaliers. With all odds pointing towards the New York Knicks, the Cavs picked up Donovan Mitchell. This instantly improved the team, but they crashed out of the playoffs in the first round. It seems the Cavs are looking to eye their first championship since LeBron James led them to their first championship in 2016. The answer to their questions might be Paul George.

George has had a dismal time with the Los Angeles Clippers and might be on his way out. Moreover, reports suggest that the Cavs are ready to sacrifice one of their future stars.

The Cavaliers are eyeing 33-year-old Paul George in hopes of a championship

The Cavaliers have effectively been in a rebuilding process following the exit of their legend LeBron James in 2018. Following years of heartbreak, it seems the team is finally going in the right direction. They acquired Donovan Mitchell last season, which instantly improved the team. It seems the 4-time All-Star will finally have some help next season.

Following this update by Windhorst, sources across the web revealed that the Cavs might be a suitor for Paul George in case the Clippers decide to unload him. Darius Garland might be an option in case the Clippers decide to open talks because the Cavaliers are open to potential trades.

The Cavaliers have some other options in mind

Tobias Harris has had a tumultuous relationship with the Philadelphia 76ers and its fanbase. He lashed out at the fanbase for their negativity a few hours ago.

Moreover, it seems the 76ers are willing to part ways. According to Bleacher Report, they approached the Cavaliers with a trade pitch for Tobias Harris while acquiring Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and a draft pick. This outrageous offer is likely to be rejected by the Cavaliers.
