LeBron James was unexpectedly swept in the postseason. In his postgame press conference, he made an even more unexpected statement. After the Los Angeles Lakers‘ WCF exit at the end of May, the King expressed that he would reconsider his future in the NBA. This led fans and the media to speculate that he might retire. From the very moment he hinted at this, LeBron James has remained fairly active on his social media. From attending the premiere of his movie to attending Louis Vuitton’s fashion show in Paris, his fans have seen it all. However, what remains to be seen is an update on his NBA Career.
However, according to some sources, this 51-year-old NBA champion might affect the King’s retirement plans.

In the playoffs last year, LeBron put forth strong numbers. Averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists is nothing to sneeze at. But according to reports released after the Lakers’ elimination, James was playing through injury. Allegedly, he kept playing for months in spite of the injury, proving his passion and commitment to winning. Despite his injury, he is expected to return to play for the upcoming season after he heals.
And if he needs extra motivation to return to the floor, the Nuggets’ head coach, Michael Malone has it covered.
Mike Malone expressed his displeasure with the media’s coverage of the games when his Nuggets were playing the Los Angeles Lakers. Malone believed that despite his team’s outstanding performance, the Nuggets did not receive enough coverage by the media for their accomplishments. Furthermore, Lebron hinting at retirement overshadowed the Nuggets’ games.
Nuggets HC publicly throws shade at LeBron
Coach Malone poked fun at LeBron James during the team’s victory parade after the Nuggets’ historic Finals win. He imitated James’ earlier hint about retiring after the Lakers’ loss by pretending to declare his retirement.
Now, according to an NBA insider, Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Michael Malone has offended LeBron James.
He said, “In conversations with people?I can tell you that LeBron was very pissed with what Michael Malone said about him, and from folks I have spoken with, that he is one of the many motivators going into this season.?

He seems to have been miffed by Malone’s apparent lack of respect for the King’s potential retirement announcement. LeBron, renowned for his unrelenting drive reportedly intends to use Malone’s comments as further fuel for the upcoming season.
The severity of his injury and a possible surgery might put the 38-year-old out of commission for up to two months. But if we know anything about the King, it’s that he won’t let go of the throne so easily.
