The NBA free agency is under full swing as numerous players have gone on to sign huge contracts. Apart from teams trading players in the hopes of making a run for a championship or rebuilding, this offseason has gotten off to a great start. But after the deal got finalized of this All-Star guard moving on, Canadian rapper Drake penned down a heartfelt note.

While some franchises may have found their cornerstone player, others went on to lose key players from their rotation. So, while writing down an emotional message, Drake decided to end it on a hilarious note.

Drake bid goodbye to Raptors All-Star

The Houston Rockets seem to be making big moves for the upcoming season. The team has traded away some younger pieces but the biggest move they have made so far is attracting Fred VanVleet.

The Houston Rockets offered Fred VanVleet a whopping three-year $130 million deal. A free agent this summer, VanVleet had been an integral part of the Toronto Raptors championship run in 2019.

After the six-foot point guard made it official with an Instagram post, the Canadian native rapper and Raptors-loyal Drake went on to bid goodbye to VanVleet.?

Drake?s comment on VanVleet’s IG post read, ?My look alike?the love is forever thank you for your character and your contributions over the years the city will never forget!!! Good luck with everything on the Guangdong Dragons??..I mean the Rockets.?

VanVleet had been an integral part of the Toronto Raptors right from the start. Not only did he have his big moments during the team?s championship run but also went on to become an All-Star as well.

Houston Rockets racking up players

With Fred VanVleet joining the Houston Rockets, the team has finally gotten some veteran presence in a locker room full of young players. Not only that but the team also went on to sign Dillon Brooks as well.

The Rockets signed Brooks to a four-year $80 million, adding a defender to the team. The franchise went on to deal away K.J. Martin to the Los Angeles Clippers for two future second-round picks as well.
