A 4x NBA All-Star could potentially follow suit. While his dream to play in the MLB ended when he suffered a wrist injury in high school, he switched to basketball and made a career off it. However, his baseball skills are still in play. It looks like the player hasn?t given up on his batting practice.

The NBA star displayed his hitting skills at a celebrity softball game recently, hosted by the Cleveland Browns? cornerback, Greg Newsome.?

NBA Star hits it out of the park

Donovan “Spida” Mitchell is a 4x NBA All-Star. As a bonus, the athlete also has remarkable baseball skills. On Saturday, Mitchell exhibited his MLB-worthy baseball skills for his fans in Ohio. As the Cleveland Cavaliers star walked out onto the field, the crowd let out a massive roar.

Almost as though responding to this phenomenal energy, Mitchell crushed the balls out of the park. As seen below, Mitchell, in blue, takes several left-handed shots. With these, he swoops the balls off the field.?

Fans witnessed this with admiration. Mitchell?s performance at the game was comparable to that of 3x MLB All-star, Shohei Ohtani. Ohtani, better known as the “Shotime”, stars for the Los Angeles Angels, who set the franchise marks for runs, hits (28), and margin of victory in a game and tied team records for runs and homers with their huge third inning against the Colorado Rockies.

Mitchell hit 11 home runs at the Newsome Match. All thanks to his former baseball training days. Spida was all set to follow in the footsteps of his father, Donovan Mitchell Sr., who works as the director of player relations for the New York Mets. Mitchell started off his athletic career as a baseball player. However, he eventually switched to basketball due to injuries.

Donovan Mitchell?s powerful swings dominated the Newsome softball game. He crushed the balls, scored 11 home runs, and eventually won the game. His performance was the real show-stopper.
