After a disappointing finish to the 2022-23 campaign, all eyes were on the Golden State Warriors front office ahead of the offseason trading action. Incidentally, the 4x NBA Champion Draymond Green lifted the spirits of the dejected Dub Nation after re-signing a 4-year contract with the team. Besides that, a recent inclusion in Stephen Curry’s team after a heart breaking $140 million trade triggered a trip down memory lane for fans.

Now that the Warriors trio, Steph, Green, and Klay Thompson are back together, the Dub Nation focussed on the remaining players. Fortunately, the San Francisco team found an almost-perfect alternative for their $140 million-worth star ahead of the upcoming season.

The Warriors front office shocked the Dubs fans when they traded out the NBA Champion Jordan Poole for Chris Paul. Even though the former Phoenix Suns star has an impressive field goal percentage and experience, fans still missed Poole’s splashing threes from the corner. Merely days after the surprise trade, a new Warriors player proved his worth as perfect replacement for Poole Party.

The Dubs took on the Sacramento Kings in their opening game at the NBA Summer League. Even though the Warriors fell short by 6 points in a 94-100 game, the Dubs forward Lester Quinones stole the show with his game play. In his 26-minute game time, Quinones dropped 26 points with a field goal percentage of 62.5 from both deep and mid-range. However, a particular 3-pointer from the 22-year-old reminded Dub Nation of Poole.

Quinones went off to a flier start as he dropped 10 of the first 18 Warriors points in the first quarter. He ended the game with 5 three-pointers, making a mark as a true Warriors player.
