Kevin Durant has revealed on a podcast who he thinks is the best female rapper among the ones who are upcoming on the music scene. It happened on the show Inside RapCaviar with Taylor Rooks. The show had three other musicians with Taylor Rooks discussing music talent with the NBA legend.
The occasion was the launch of Spotify’s All-RapCaviar 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams. The teams comprise of the rap and hip-hop artists who have dominated the Spotify playlists.

Along with Taylor Rooks, the 2-time Grammy Award-winning producer Hit-Boy, and the also-Grammy Award-winning producer Boy-1DA were in conversation with Kevin Durant about who is on the latest iteration of the Spotify playlist, RapCaviar.
The teams this time were Drake, Metro Boomin’, Lil Baby, 21 Savage and Lil Uzi Vert.
While Hit-Boy and 1DA had their choices, Kevin Durant went ahead with Ice Spice. When Taylor asked him, “Do you have any players banging Ice-Spice in the locker room?” Kevin replied, “Not a one. But I hear it in the arena. Youngboy, Baby, Durk control the locker room. I gotta fight for a Drake song to be played, or a Kendrick Lamar song.”
Kevin Durant, who has played for Phoenix Suns, sure knows a thing or two about music.

Durant has produced a T-Shyne album and has some hold in the music scene. Earlier, Ye had him take a first listen to his project, Donda. Kevin Durant is now working with Spotify and Boardroom to bring out RapCaviar, a unique project that intends to celebrate the connection between hip-hop, rap and basketball.
Rap and the NBA-verse go hand-in-hand as the two have several connecting points. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal now deejays as DJ Diesel. Diesel brought the NBA audience to their feet with a surprise post-game DJ session amid the recent playoffs.

Even Rap God Jay-Z once included both the names of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in his lyrics. In a stunning move, Dwyane referenced those lyrics in an Instagram story recently.
