Winnie Harlow has broken down barriers and questioned accepted notions of beauty. She made history by becoming one of the first vitiligo-affected fashion models to walk the runway at the coveted Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Harlow has grown to be a powerful proponent of body positivity owing to her inspiring personality both on and off the ramp.

However, her impact goes beyond the modeling industry. Her relationship with an MVP with the Washington Wizards catapulted her into the NBA spotlight. And most recently, she advertised her own skin-care brand, even leaving Shaquille O’Neal‘s son, Shareef, in awe.

Cay Skin, the brainchild of Kyle Kuzma‘s girlfriend, made its debut in 2022. The brand has garnered attention for its ground-breaking approach to skincare. The brand has a firm dedication to making clean and efficient sun protection available to everyone, regardless of skin color, condition, or type.

The SPF-centric collection, which was inspired by vivid memories of days spent on Jamaican beaches, is a tribute to her heritage. Harlow’s father’s thoughtful yet unique method of applying sunscreen inspired it. She said to ELLE, “I remember being in Jamaica and my dad slathering sunscreen on me with his rough hands and it leaving a blue color to my skin. Sunscreen and skincare have always had such a strong force in my life.”

And even Shareef O’Neal couldn’t help but admire the product.
