The high school basketball sensation, Cooper Flagg, is now headlining for disparaging veteran players on the court. Flagg’s made an impression by representing the United States at the 2022 FIBA U-17 Basketball World Cup. His mastery on the court has also fetched him an NCAA Division I scholarship.
While the high school baller is yet to make his NBA debut, he is already going toe-to-toe with NBA All-stars like Bradley Beal. More recently, Copper Flagg denied all allegations of trash-talking and confirmed that he has no “beef” with Beal.

Cooper Flagg, who’s managed to turn the heads of NBA legends like LeBron James, now denies all rumors of having problems with Bradley Beal. Allegedly, Flagg got carried away during a one-on-one against Beal at Jayson Tatum’s Elite Camp and started cussing. Apparently, Flagg has a reputation for being overt on the court and hence the rumor took no time to catch on.
"Me and Brad Beal never played one-on-one. I got no beef with Brad."

Flagg, a Maine native, is currently enrolled in the Stephen Curry Camp where he broke the silence on the controversy. Flagg denied having a “beef” with the Phoenix Suns‘ star. In fact, a thoroughly baffled Flagg commented that how he has never even played with Bradley Beal at the camp.
Flagg confirmed, “I’m making enemies. First Brad Beal…that one was fake though…that was fake, fake business…me and Bradley never played one-on-one, got no beef with Brad, alright?”
Cooper Flagg successfully sidesteps the hoax
Cooper Flagg set the record straight, once and for all. The rumors about the 1v1 battle had gone on for too long, clearly stirring the NBA world. In fact, even the Sun’s starlet, Bradley Beal, got dragged into this ripe rumor as he responded to it with a rather nonchalant “huh.” Besides, blaspheming a senior player seemed far-fetched, even for a bona fide phenom like Copper Flagg.

Copper Flagg is ranked as the third-best prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. Additionally, he was also a contender for the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award. So far, the high-school pro has got an impeccable player profile. While his NBA debut is still a couple of years away, Flagg certainly does not wish to gain a reputation for cussing and trash-talking.

The 16-year-old has still got a long way to go. Cooper Flag’s dexterity on the court is comparable to that of LeBron James. We’d rather have Flagg create media buzz for his basketball prowess rather than such faux gossip. Wouldn’t you agree?
