In a 2019 interview with Yahoo Finance, Ayesha Curry was asked if she believed in putting her marriage before her career. The 2-time New York Times Bestselling author said that the idea has been “chopped and screwed” a little. She believed if the foundation of her relationship with Stephen Curry was strong, then it would trickle down to her three children. The couple has been married for over 12 years and are parents to three beautiful children. “Making sure we are taken care of so that the kids can have the best chance at a great life.” Ayesha added. According to her comments, Steph and Ayesha have a very strong relationship and that can be seen even today as their love for each other continues to grow. But some fans believed it was all a façade to hide the truth.

In 2021, a gossip page Deuxmoi posted a rumor that revealed that a famous NBA married couple was in an open marriage but was hiding it from the world. The rumor claimed both husband and wife had flings outside of their marriage. Even though no NBA player was named in the post, fans speculated it was referring to Chef Curry and Ayesha Curry as the subject read, “Chefs on and off the court.” The rumor started to spread like wildfire, and fans started harassing and bullying the superstar couple on social media. Ayesha even got angry at the whole situation.

Ayesha Curry’s Outrage on Open Marriage Rumors

Despite the spreading rumors of open marriage, Steph and Ayesha were silent about the topic. The actress broke her silence when a troll commented on her post, calling her out for having an open marriage. “Don’t believe everything you read. Do you know how ridiculous that is? Don’t disrespect my marriage like that. Please and Thank you.” Ayesha wrote, venting out her frustration.
