In the era of social media, the scrutiny of sports personalities gets louder and harsher with each passing minute. Navigating in such a volatile environment could prove to be a slippery slope if a person is not careful. One of the most common discourses in social media is ‘Who is the Greatest Basketball player of All Time?’

In a recent fan interaction, Lakers head coach and 2004 NBA Champion Darvin Ham was asked who the GOAT is. Darvin Ham responded by saying “LeBron is the GOAT”. While LeBron James is one of the greatest NBA players of all time, taking Darvin Ham’s word on it might be a little naïve. Because the 2004 NBA champion is coaching LeBron and the Lakers this season, his opinion might be a little biased.

The ‘GOAT’ debate will rage on endlessly because people have varying opinions and no two people think the same. He is the first player in NBA history to reach 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists. Along with this, LeBron has the most points, steals, and games played in the NBA playoffs. In February 2023, LeBron James broke Kareem Abdul Jaffar’s record of scoring the most regular season points in NBA history. It was a record that was previously thought to be unbreakable.
