After years of domination in the NBA world, the 3x champion stepped into the WNBA in an entirely different role. The role isn’t new for the Miami Heat legend, as he holds a minority share with the Utah Jazz. But soon after landing his feet in the WNBA world, Wade had an important message for fans. He expected to enjoy his investment in the women’s team more than the men’s franchise.

Following his retirement, Wade developed a charismatic image outside the hoops community with his various social activism. Along with it, he also made an investment in the Jazz franchise in 2021 with the help of his billionaire friend, Ryan Smith. Two years later, he doubled it with another ownership in his hometown.

Dwyane Wade surprised the hoops fans when he announced his ownership in the WNBA team, Chicago Sky, via Twitter: “It’s official! This is for the home  team- literally. #SkyTown @ChicagoSky.” After announcing the news, he mentioned an important message to the fans.

He mentioned that there is much room for improvement and growth in the business end of the league, encouraging potential investors. Additionally, according to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou, he said, “I’m going to enjoy this process, probably even more than the NBA process, because this one is not ready-made.”

Wade promised to support from the courtside instead of expressing it on social media, reported Uninterrupted.
