The All-Star weekend has been the biggest annual NBA celebration since 1954. It honors the year’s best players for their excellence while also providing enough fanfare to entertain the passionate supporters of the league. However, historically speaking, the WNBA has never featured majorly on the weekend, but this year things are about to take a turn for the better. Apart from the main attraction of Steph vs. Sabrina, fans of the league are in for another treat.

According to the official Instagram Post of the NBA All-Star event, reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson will be the assistant coach for Stephen A in this year’s celebrity game. This is massive news for the superstar as the celebrity game is among the most watched events of the weekend.

That isn’t all, alongside A’ja will be multi-platinum rapper Lil Wayne. Stephen A. Smith’s team will feature notable figures such as NBA titleholder Metta World Peace, the youngest woman to achieve EGOT status, Jennifer Hudson, acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi, and others. The other team will be coached by his fellow ESPN analyst Shannon Sharpe who will be assisted by his fellow NFL player Peyton Manning and Grammy award-winning rapper 50 Cent. Sharpe’s lineup will consist of streamer Kai Cenat, Grammy-nominated artist SiR, NFL sensation Micah Parsons, and additional talents.

With all that is about to follow, the NBA all-star weekend is shaping up to be more exciting than first anticipated.
