Golden State Warriors HC Steve Kerr has nothing else to say other than just to bow down to greatness. The Phoenix Suns‘ visit to Bay Area went down to the wire, leaving Stephen Curry to take the game-winning three-pointer. And, just like that, the Dubs won the game with a close 113-112 margin.

Following the game, Kerr responded to the question about picking Steph to have a go at the game-winner. The 9x NBA Champ sarcastically said that he put out his idea originally to go with Steph.

He said, “I’m really a smart guy you know… Nobody else thought of it.” And eventually went on to credit Michael Jordan and Tim Duncan along with Steph, saying, “Jordan, Duncan, Steph. Just get the ball to those guys, you’re going to win a lot.”

Michael Jordan’s former teammate Steve Kerr is also known for his sense of humor. The most notable instance of Kerr’s humor sense is from the parade speech after the 1997 NBA Finals. He spoke about his game winning jumper in Game 6 which helped the Chicago Bulls win their 5th ring.

During his speech, Kerr pulled out a good old sarcasm. He sarcastically said, “Michael said, ‘I don’t feel comfortable in these situations… Why don’t we go to Steve’… So I thought to myself, ‘I guess I have to bail Michael out again’,” leaving the crowd to erupt into laughter.

Almost 30 years later, Kerr hasn’t lost his humor sense, as he cracked one after winning the intense thriller.

When the Warriors thought it was all-over after Steph’s three-pointer, there was a twist in the tale. With 0.7 seconds left on the clock, Andrew Wiggins fouled the Suns’ inbound pass. Upon review, the clock was changed to 0.6 seconds. Luckily, the Dubs had the advantage, or else the Suns would have gotten two free throws.

However, in the second attempt, the Suns failed to collect the ball clearly, and the game ended in the Warriors’ favor. Even during Wiggins’ mishap, Steph remained calm and took control of the situation.

Now, the Warriors have finally reached the top-10 of the Western Conference table with an emphatic turnaround, winning 6 out of their last 7 games.
