The Boston Celtics are off to a red-hot start this season. They have grabbed the Number 1 spot in the Eastern Conference standings with their incredible performance so far. After defeating the Memphis Grizzlies in the last game, Jayson Tatum and Co. are set to face the Charlotte Hornets tonight.

Unfortunately, their guard, Derrick White, has been ruled out of tonight?s game. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla shed light on White?s abrupt absence vs LaMelo Ball and Co.

Two key Celtics players are going to miss tonight?s game against the Charlotte Hornets. Veteran Center Al Horford and guard Derrick White have been ruled out of the game due to different reasons. Al Horford is resting on the back-to-back night, and Derrick White is out due to personal reasons. Head coach Joe Mazzulla talked about White?s absence and how long he will be out of action, ?I?m not sure. It?s for personal reasons. I think we?ll reassess it just kind of day to day and just kind of see where he?s at.? The exact reason for White missing tonight?s game is still uncertain, but Celtics fans are hoping it is nothing serious.

Derrick White has been great for the Boston Celtics this season. He has been a solid role player, averaging 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. White has excelled in the starting point guard role, and it is expected that Joe Mazzulla will give the starting nod to Sam Hauser in White?s absence. Hauser has proven to be a breakout star for the Celtics this season. He has shot lights out from the three-point line, shooting at an insane 47.5 percent. Boston has a deep bench, and Mazzulla will want to use that to his advantage tonight.

The Boston Celtics have been one of the best teams in the league this season. They have elevated their game to the next level after adding Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis to their roster. This might be the year Jayson Tatum and Co. get over the hump and lift the Larry O?Brien trophy. Their team is a perfect balance of superstars and role players. Boston has reached 5 Eastern Conference finals in the last 7 years, and they came close to winning the Championship in 2022 when they faced Stephen Curry and Co. in the NBA Finals.

It always looked like they were one piece away from winning it all, and Jrue Holiday might have been that missing piece for the Celtics. He is a veteran guard with championship experience and can be the defensive anchor for Jayson Tatum and Co. If Boston continues to play as they have so far, they will have a legitimate shot at winning the title this year.
